BIO
Hello, my name is Dr. Jessica Jackel, DAcCHM, L.Ac. I am a doctor of acupuncture with a specialization in Chinese herbal medicine. During my six-year postgraduate education in Traditional Chinese Medicine, I often heard the saying, “The specialty picks you.” And this couldn’t be more true for me.
My doctoral focus was on brain health and wellness. Passionate about the blend of Eastern and Western medicine, I sought additional training under Amen Clinics during my doctoral studies.
2022, I opened my practice in Austin, Texas. Treating conditions ranging from pain management to internal medicine. However, sharing a space with two incredible holistic aestheticians, I began acquiring patients who were seeking natural and time-tested remedies for reducing wrinkles, improving complexion, brightening eyes, and lifting or toning facial musculature.
n response to this demand, I immersed myself in an intensive program specializing in Chinese medicine for facial cosmetic enhancement. Under the direction of Dr. Shellie Goldstein, DACM, AP, L.Ac., this program molded my foundations in facial anatomy and physiology, bioaging, epigenetics, and Chinese medicine facial theory and diagnosis, with clinical mentorship and training with leaders in the field from N.Y.C. to L.A.
Beauty is not simply skin deep, but a reflection of balance, vitality, and harmony within. Results go beyond the glow on your face and enhance how you feel in body and mind. I’m committed to excellence in continuing education and holding a supportive and nurturing space for my patients on their path to health and vitality.

Chinese Medicine
& The Facial Landscape
Our facial landscape goes beyond what we see in the mirror. From the skin's surface to the depths of the dermal tissue, our face expresses the patterns of our internal health and reflects how we interact with the world around us.
Chinese medicine is a centuries-old system of medicine that takes a comprehensive and holistic approach to health and wellness. Within this tradition, Mei Rong, which means “beautiful appearance,” is a health regimen that promotes internal health while delaying visible signs of aging. The goal extends beyond merely preserving physical beauty; it's about achieving optimal health and vitality, allowing your spirit to shine through and a natural glow to radiate within.
Facial cosmetic acupuncture addresses facial concerns such as wrinkles, fine lines, muscle tone, lymphatic drainage, complexion, under-eye swelling or darkness, and more.
Patients will receive comprehensive treatment during each session, targeting their skincare goals while addressing any existing health conditions.
